Botany Bay Plantation, a 4600 acre nature reserve about an hour south of Charleston is easily one of the most beautiful and secluded landscapes in the area!
When asking for potential locations for their session, Julie and Daniel took one look at Botany Bay Plantation and were immediately sold!
Formed in the 1930’s following the sale of two much older properties and surrendered to the state in the 1970’s after an illegal pond was dug by the former owner (it’s a wild story, definitely worth checking out) it was eventually turned into a nature reserve by the state of South Carolina that’s free to access and even more importantly, protected from future development.
It’s a special thing to have access to such a beautiful place to shoot and I can’t wait to make it out there again!
