Some love stories are straight out of a country song, and Raina and Cody’s wedding day was no exception.
With golden sunlight filtering through the trees, a charming rustic backdrop, and their beloved horse standing proudly by their side, their celebration was the perfect blend of elegance and Southern charm.
My husband and I chose Nick as our wedding photographer for his creativity and style, and he did not disappoint! From our engagement shoot to our amazing wedding photos that didn’t miss any moment, the experience could not have been better. You will feel like you’re working with an old friend – Nick is easygoing but efficient, grabbing so many great shots while you feel like you’ve barely even posed! Raina, a South Carolina, native, and Cody, whose roots stretch from across the USA, first met through a mutual friend on a blind date. But, as fate would have it, their first encounter didn’t quite go as planned.
If I could give him more than 5 stars I would!!! Nick was SO MUCH FUN to work with! He was punctual, energetic, friendly, and he definitely knew what he was doing! It wasn’t until two years later—at the height of the COVID shutdown—that Cody reached out to Raina on social media, reigniting a connection that would ultimately lead them to this day.
For Raina, the location of their wedding was just as meaningful as the vows exchanged.
The ceremony took place at her grandmother’s home, a house built by her grandfather in 2000-2001. Since childhood, she had dreamed of saying ‘I do’ on the front porch steps of that very home.
Though her grandfather passed away over a decade ago, his presence was deeply felt as she walked down the aisle.
“I know he would have been so proud to see me get married on our family’s land, in the house he shared with my grandmother for so many years.” – Raina
Raina and Cody’s wedding was a vibrant expression of their personalities. The theme? Colorful Southern chic with a cowboy twist. “I love color, pattern, and design,” Raina said. “I knew the only thing I wanted to be white on my wedding day was my dress.”
